Coins, Coins, Coins

We have officially begun the COIN QUEST.
For the next 3 weeks, we'll be collecting coins.
Your child brings them to school.
We weigh them weekly.
The class with the most pound-age wins a pizza party!
So...scour the cars and couches...
Beg from neighbors and grandparents...

Thanks for participating in yet ANOTHER school fundraiser.
Hopefully the money will help purchase more books, bring performances or ???

Valentine's Day

Hello All,
Here's what I was thinking for Valentine's day...
1.  Monday afternoon, we will have a Friendship Celebration.
2.  Students are welcome to bring a snack to share.  (carrots, cheese n' crackers, fruit, chips, sweets?)
3.  Classmates will exchange/deliver cards in the afternoon.
4.  There are 20 students in our class.  (A list has gone home already)--let me know if you need another.

"I've Got a Butt"

Hello.
I shared with the class that Jim Mayer, (aka Uncle Jim), will be performing at WCS in March.
He'll share an anti-bullying message with students and staff.
I am so excited!  He's got some really great, funky, engaging kids songs.
AND he happens to be Jimmy Buffet's bass player.  (I'm a huge fan)
So, I've joined his fan club and hope to order a couple CD's to become familiar before he arrives.


So...if your kids are singing, "I've Got a Butt" or  "Funky as a Diaper" I apologize.
